The aims of the Institute - Sect. of Bari


The present section of IPP was officially founded by the decree N. 2411of the President of Italian National Research Council (C.N.R.) on April 3, 1970 as Laboratory of Nematology and was transformed into "Istituto di Nematologia Agraria Applicata ai Vegetali (INAAV)" by the decree N.6300 on December 20, 1979. Within the reorganization of the C.N.R., the new "Institute of Plant Protection (IPP)" has been constituted by the joining of four former C.N.R. Institutes:

1) Istituto di Nematologia Agraria Applicata ai Vegetali (INAAV);
2) Istituto per la Patologia degli Alberi Forestali (IPAF) of Florence;
3) Centro di Studio sulla Micologia del Terreno (CSMT) of Turin;
4) Centro di Studio sulle Tecniche di Lotta Biologica (CE.TE.LO.BI.) of Portici, Naples.

Then, INAAV becomes Section of Bari of the IPP and with its over thirty years of experience into the field of agricultural nematology belongs to a single organization of which represents a national and international reference in the field of Plant Protection. The section of Bari will contribute, within the IPP, to the following research lines:
